Happy Friday Raptor Families,

What a great week of learning and engagement. Many of our grade levels have been taking field trips and engaging in learning opportunities outside of the classroom. Next week we have iReady testing. This is a great opportunity for students to show how much they have grown throughout the year. Please encourage your student to do their best.

As a reminder, on Wednesday, May 7th, we have our PLC/Late Start. School starts at 11:05 am, with drop-off beginning at 10:50 am. On Thursday, May 8th, there is a Band and Jazz Band Concert in the auditorium. See below for more information.

Today was National Lunch Hero Day! We made a special video with our students as a “Thank You” to express our gratitude, and we had the joy of watching it together with our lunch ladies this morning. First-grade students designed custom aprons filled with affirmations and artwork, while our second graders wrote thoughtful notes to show their appreciation! We truly love and appreciate our lunch heroes!

With the warmer weather, please remind your students to keep their attire in line with the SVVSD code of conduct. As a gentle reminder, there are no pets on campus. Please leave them at home at pick-up and drop-off, as well as our end of year events. We appreciate your support and continued involvement in our school community. Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Best Wishes,

Catrina Estrada, Principal

Sandra Vazquez, Assistant Principal

Matt Romig, Assistant Principal

Grant Elwood, Dean of Students

Help Our STEM Classroom!

Our STEM class is gearing up for exciting hands-on projects, and we need your help! We’re looking for donations of various materials that students can use to build, create, and experiment. Some of the items we could use include:

– Cereal boxes
– Paper towel and toilet paper rolls
– Plastic cups and straws
– Toothpicks
– Craft sticks

– String, yarn, or rubber bands

These materials will help our students bring their designs to life as they learn about engineering, problem-solving, and creativity. If you have any of these items, please send them in with your child or drop them off at the office.
