On Tuesday, April 29th, we are hosting a 5th to 6th-Grade Transition Night at 5:00pm in the auditorium. Guardians and 5th grade students, please join us for information and success tips for the transition to middle school!
On Tuesday, April 29th, we have a Middle School Soccer game at home vs Twin Peaks after school. On Tuesday, April 29th, we have a 4th grade music concert in the auditorium at 6:00pm. On Wednesday, April 30th, there is a middle school Band and Jazz Band Concert in the auditorium. Please see below for times and details.
With the warmer weather, please remind your students to keep their attire in line with the SVVSD code of conduct. We appreciate your support and continued involvement in our school community. Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Thunder Valley K-8 Parents/Guardians:
If your student is enrolled at Thunder Valley and WILL BE MOVING/CHANGING SCHOOLS for the 2025-2026 school year, please take a moment to complete this form so that our registrar can prepare your student’s records to be sent to their new school in a timely manner. If you have more than one student enrolled and are moving/changing schools, please complete the form for each student.
You ONLY need to complete this form if your student is MOVING OR CHANGING SCHOOLS. If you are staying at Thunder Valley, there is no need to fill this out.

5th to 6th Grade Transition Night – Join Us!
Attention 5th Grade Families! We are excited to invite you to our 5th to 6th Grade Transition Night on Tuesday, April 29th from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
This special event is designed to help students and parents feel prepared and confident about the exciting move to middle school. You’ll have the opportunity to:
-Learn about class schedules and expectations
– See the 6th grade classrooms
-Discover extracurricular activities and clubs
-Get answers to all your questions!

Help Our STEM Classroom!
Our STEM class is gearing up for exciting hands-on projects, and we need your help! We’re looking for donations of various materials that students can use to build, create, and experiment. Some of the items we could use include:
– Cereal boxes
– Paper towel and toilet paper rolls
– Plastic cups and straws
– Toothpicks
– Craft sticks
– Egg cartons
– String, yarn, or rubber bands
These materials will help our students bring their designs to life as they learn about engineering, problem-solving, and creativity. If you have any of these items, please send them in with your child or drop them off at the office.

There’s Still Time to Register for Innovation Center Summer Programming!
From outdoor adventures and creative design to coding, aeronautics, music innovation, and more—the Innovation Center’s summer programming offers something for every interest and age group. Open to students entering grades 1–12, these hands-on experiences spark curiosity, build new skills, and create lasting memories. Programs run throughout June and July at Timberline PK-8, Westview Middle, and Frederick High.

Parents/guardians shall be required to furnish an explanation for student absenteeism either in writing or orally. Absences not explained within two days after returning to school shall be recorded as unexcused absences unless unusual or extenuating circumstances exist as determined by the building administrator. Please join us at the Innovation Center on Tuesday, May 6 for our annual STEM Night! We’ll have STEM activities, a Make and Take section, and content specific STEM events in each of our focus areas, which include: Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace, Biosciences, Cybersecurity, Digital & Virtual Design, Entrepreneurship, Robotics, and Video Production. In addition, we’ll have larger outdoor STEM opportunities, the Student Design Guild, and Cardboard Carnival Games! Come to play from 4:30-6:30.
