Happy Friday Raptor Families!
What a great first week back from break. It was wonderful connecting with students and getting back into the swing of things. CMAS starts on April 9th. Please make sure to read the information that is attached below and check your email that you received with additional communication from us earlier this week.
Next week is our first track meet is at Thunder Valley on Monday, April 1st after school. On Tuesday, we have our 3rd Grade Music Concert 6:00pm in the Auditorium. Please enter through door number two. We also have a Cafecito meeting on Tuesday, April 2nd at 6:00pm in the Library.
As a reminder, the front of the school is for Kindergarten drop off and pick up only. 1st-8th please use the west side parking lot. Please be courteous at pick up and drop off and allow others to back out from the parking lot and exit. Thank you for helping keep our students safe.

CMAS Testing Information
Dates
- Math and Language Arts: April 9th through 17th.
- Science testing (5th and 8th Grade only): April 18th through the 22nd.
Times
- 8:35 am through 11:00 am.
Please avoid appointments during these times so that your child will not need to makeup their testing session. Please support your child by helping them come to school with a good nights sleep so that they are fully rested and prepared for the day. We appreciate your support.
Late Starts for the School Year:
April 3rd, May 1st
School starts at 11:05 am, the earliest students can be dropped off is 10:50 am. Buses pick up 2.5 hours later than their normal pick-up time.
Registration Open for Elementary Project Launch
Academic proficiency is an important district goal for elementary students. Research shows that extended school-year learning opportunities positively impact student success.
Project Launch Program Includes:
- Targeted literacy practice daily
- Content literacy in science and social studies
- Focused math study and exploration
- Transportation is provided for those who qualify from predetermined bus stops
- Breakfast and lunch provided
- Exiting Kindergarten – 4th Grade Students
- Available at no cost to families

Attendance all 16 days is critical
We will close individual grade levels when full.
Space is limited! To register, please contact your school or teacher for a registration form, and return your completed form to either your child’s teacher, or the school office. There is no online registration format. You will be notified if your child is placed on a waitlist for this program.

Community Schools K-5 Registration for 2024-2025 Opens Next Week
Community Schools offers dynamic extended learning day opportunities for children in grades K-5. Students are provided with a nurturing environment before- and after-school that fosters academic achievement, community, social-emotional growth, and creativity. Availability is limited and interested families are encouraged to register early and select their anticipated days of care immediately.

Parents/guardians shall be required to furnish an explanation for student absenteeism either in writing or orally. Absences not explained within two days after returning to school shall be recorded as unexcused absences unless unusual or extenuating circumstances exist as determined by the building administrator. After 10 excused or unexcused absences, a doctors note is required. Communication is key to successful attendance.
