Dear Thunder Valley Families,
What a great week. We celebrated our fundraiser today with a Fun Run for our elementary students and a Color Run for our middle school students. Our Booster Fundraiser is open through Sunday night! Thank you for contributing to our school. Our funds support fieldtrips, teacher grants, playground equipment, and curricular resources.
Thanksgiving break starts this week. We hope you take this time to connect with family and friends to celebrate this season of gratitude. We have no school next week; classes resume on Monday, December 1st.
As a reminder, the first Wednesday we come back from break, December 3rd, is our PLC/Late Start. School starts at 11:05 am, with dropoff beginning at 10:50 am. We also have a Girls Basketball away game versus Timberline on Wednesday, December 3rd.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. We appreciate your continued support and involvement in our school community. Please let us know if you need any assistance.
Best wishes,
Catrina Estrada, Principal
Sandra Vazquez, Assistant Principal
Matt Romig, Assistant Principal

We would like to hear from parents about your child’s experience with the Colorado READ Act and its observed impact.
As you may know, the Colorado READ (Reading to Ensure Academic Development) Act provides funding and a framework for improving literacy outcomes for kindergartners through third graders, particularly those with “Significant Reading Deficiencies” (SRDs) who are at risk to not read at grade level by third grade. The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) has been working with WestEd and its partners to conduct a legislatively mandated evaluation of the READ Act since March 2020.
The survey should take no more than 10-15 minutes to complete, and all responses will be kept confidential.
- We are only asking you to complete the survey if your child has ever been identified as having a significant reading deficiency (SRD) and/or has ever been given a READ plan.
- Thank you in advance for your participation in this parent survey. We greatly appreciate your time and willingness to share your experience.
