Dear Thunder Valley Families,
It was great connecting with all of you at conferences this week! As a reminder, there is no school tomorrow, Friday the 10th and Monday October 13th. Stem Accelerator and AAA resume next week. Enjoy the long weekend and we look forward to seeing you back at school on Tuesday!
Middle school soccer has two games next week. The first is Tuesday, October 14th at Trailridge MS. On Thursday, October 16th they have a home game versus Timberline. On Wednesday, October 15th, we have a boys basketball game at home versus Sunset MS. On Wednesday, October 15th, we have PTA Meeting in the library starting at 4:30pm.
Hearing and vision screenings are next week on October 16th and 17th. Please make sure your students bring their glasses and/or contacts if they have them.
Halloween is coming up soon! We’ll share more details about our costume parade later this month. As you help your student plan a costume, please remember that safety is our top priority. Costumes should not cause distractions, and students must be easily recognizable—no masks, face paint, sunglasses, fake blood, or full-face coverings. Weapons or look-alikes are not permitted.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we can do to support you.
Best wishes,
Catrina Estrada, Principal
Sandra Vazquez, Assistant Principal
Matt Romig, Assistant Principal
Grant Elwood, Dean of Students
