Dear Thunder Valley Families,
What a great week of learning. As a reminder, our Fall Carnival is tonight, starting at 4:30pm! Come for the games, prizes, and fun! Kona Ice will be joining us as well!
Next week, our final middle school girls volleyball game is on Monday, September 29th, versus Coal Ridge after school. On Wednesday, September 1st, middle school soccer has an away game at Trail Ridge MS.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off Reminders: Thank you for helping us keep students safe during busy times. Please use our west side parking lot for 1st–8th grade pick-up and drop-off. The front lot is reserved for kindergarten families only. To minimize impact on our neighbors, please avoid using The Spark! parking lot. If you’re dropping off, we appreciate your support in guiding your student to their line-up spot.
The signup information for Meet The Teacher, for Parent Teacher Conferences next week on October 7th, 8th, and 9th, is going out today. We look forward to seeing our families and connecting with you. If you need assistance navigating Meet The Teacher, please contact Laura at the front office at (303) 833-2456 so that we can help you.
We are grateful for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything we can do to support you.
Best wishes,
Catrina Estrada, Principal
Sandra Vazquez, Assistant Principal
Matt Romig, Assistant Principal
Grant Elwood, Dean of Students

Families who believe they may qualify for free or reduced-price meals are encouraged to complete an application by Oct. 1. While all St. Vrain Valley students receive one free breakfast and one free lunch daily through Colorado’s Healthy School Meals for All program, submitting an application provides additional benefits to families such as fee waivers, college exam discounts, and reduced internet and utility costs, and also helps bring federal funding to support classrooms, after-school programs, technology, and additional meals and snacks for students. Applications are available online or at Nutrition Services, 2929 Clover Basin Dr., Longmont.

St. Vrain Valley Schools invites the community to donate gently used instruments during the Annual Instrument Collection Drive on Thursday, Oct. 2 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 3 from 8 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Lincoln School Building. All donated instruments are cleaned, tuned, and repaired before being placed in classrooms or offered for student rentals, expanding access to music education across the district. Most instruments are welcome (except drum sets and upright pianos). Donors will receive a receipt from the St. Vrain Valley Schools Education Foundation.

Parents/guardians shall be required to furnish an explanation for student absenteeism either in writing or orally. Absences not explained within two days after returning to school shall be recorded as unexcused absences unless unusual or extenuating circumstances exist as determined by the building administrator. After 10 excused or unexcused absences, a doctors note is required. Communication is key to successful attendance. In the event your student will be absent, please call the front office at 303-833-2456, email our attendance clerk, at [email protected] or complete this form Report an Absence
