Dear Thunder Valley Families,
It was so wonderful to have our students back in the building. Our halls feel alive with students’ laughter and the excitement of being back at school.
We are excited to see everyone during Back to School Night on Thursday, August 21st, from 5:00 – 6:30 pm. Please read the information from your child’s teacher for specific times. Back to School night is a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers and get information and learn expectations for the upcoming school year.
As we begin the year, there is a lot of information that we will be putting out. Please make sure to read the whole newsletter. You will find detailed information below on the SVVSD Code of Conduct and the TVK8 Student Family Handbook. iReady and DIBELS testing begins next week! These diagnostic test helps us gauge where students are at academically and better target their learning needs. Thank you for encouraging your student to do their best.
As always, please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns. We appreciate your continued support and involvement in our school community. Please let us know if you need any assistance.

Code of Conduct
Dear Thunder Valley students and families,
Thank you for your partnership and supporting the academic growth, safety, and well-being of our students. Every year, St. Vrain Valley Schools prints an up-to-date version of the Code of Conduct for students and families to review. This important document guides students and school staff on what expectations for school conduct and the consequences for behaviors that fall outside of those expectations. It is important that families review this information every year and acknowledge their receipt and understanding of this document.
To this end, please click here to access an electronic version of the Code of Conduct for the current school year. After you have reviewed this information, all families must sign an electronic acknowledgement that they have received, read, and understand the information contained, including the Annual Notification to Parents/Guardians; Behavioral Code of Conduct; Rights and Responsibilities of Students and Parents; and Board of Education Policies book. To sign your electronic acknowledgement, please follow the steps described here.
Again, thank you for your continued partnership and support. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly at 303-833-2456.
Sincerely,
Catrina Estrada

Important iPad Updates for the 2025–2026 School Year
St. Vrain’s District Technology Services has made several updates to student iPads for the upcoming school year to support a focused and secure digital learning environment both at school and at home. One key update is the implementation of a new internet filter, Securly, which adds an extra layer of protection to iPads by blocking certain types of websites.
For more information about these updates – and what they mean for your child’s device — please click here.

You can pay your students ipad insurance 8/1/25-9/15/25 through Infinite Campus.

If you need to drop off medications, please stop by the office as soon as possible.
In order to drop off medications, you need to have the correct form completed by your child’s physician. We can only accept medications once this has been completed.
