Happy Thursday Raptor Families,
The first semester was a success, and we’re thrilled to see our students learning and growing. We are looking forward to more learning in the New Year! As a reminder, winter break starts tomorrow and there is no school on Friday, December 20th. Students return to school on January 7th.
Please remind your students to continue reading and learning over the break. Please see the information below on the reading challenge using myON and Sora!
Thank you for your continued partnership in making our school a special place to learn and grow. Please let us know if you need any assistance.
Best wishes,
Catrina Estrada, Principal
Sandra Vazquez, Assistant Principal
Matt Romig, Assistant Principal
Grant Elwood, Dean of Students

This year’s December reading challenge has some exciting changes! In addition to minutes spent reading on myON, we will also include reading data from Sora and Learning Ally:
- Sora is the app used for the district digital library and is available via ClassLink. Minutes spent reading eBooks and/or listening to audiobooks will count towards minute totals for each school.
- Learning Ally is a program that many, but not all, schools have. This program allows access to audiobooks for educators and striving readers. Minutes spent listening to audiobooks on Learning Ally will count towards minute totals for each school.
Happy reading!
