Thunder Valley K-8 Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week

Week of May 4th-8th
HELP US CELEBRATE!!! Bring in something nice to thank your teachers! Decorate a star below, cut out and return to school.

TUESDAY- Wear your BLING MONDAY- Wear your hair like a movie star
WEDNESDAY- Wear a movie hat or cool hat
THURSDAY- Wear your teacher’s favorite color
FRIDAY- Dress as your favorite movie star, prizes will be awarded

Mon 5/4 
– PARCC Testing (4th & 7th grades)
– Denver Zoo here with 5th and 6th grades
– Run Club 3:20-4:30pm
– Challenge Island 3:20-4:30pm (Art Room)

Tues 5/5
– PARCC Testing (4th & 7th grades)
– 5th grade District Field Day @ Longmont High School
– Track Team Popsicle Party 3:20-4:00pm

Wed 5/6
– LATE START DAY (school starts @ 10:50am-NO Afternoon half-day Kinder class; Morning Kinder class begins at 12:20pm)
– All School Assembly 2:00pm
– 4th grade Band Practice 3:30-4:30pm
– Band Concert 6:00pm
– Soccer Play Off Game – Team A (Sandstone Ranch Park)

Thurs 5/7
– PARCC Testing (3rd & 6th grades)
– Run Club 3:20-4:30pm
– Spring Showcase 6-7pm (See information below)

Fri 5/8
– PARCC Testing (3rd & 6th grades)
– Hat Day – Bring in $1 to wear a Hat all day (Donations go to Relay for Life-See information below)

Please join us Thursday, May 7th from 6-7 for our Spring Educational Showcase. Come and walk through our hallway exhibits displaying various projects showcasing your child’s work. Displays may include STEM projects, Design thinking projects, Oral Presentations, MESA projects, Art projects, and much more. There will be a bake sale and refreshments at the event. All proceeds from the bake sale will benefit Relay for Life. 1st and 2nd grade students are invited to visit Mrs. Garcia’s classroom to Engineer their own insect. Hope to see you here!
