Jason Turner

Mr. Turner instructs both 2D and 3D visual arts, including ceramics & sculpture, commercial & graphic design, painting & drawing, and advises our student-published yearbook. After school he coaches our soccer and wrestling teams.

Before teaching, Mr. Turner worked in advertising for ten years as a graphic designer and art director. Eventually looking for a purpose higher than marketing to the masses, his goal as an art educator is to share his experiences with students who want to build on skills in the fine arts, or interested in pursuing a career as a creative professional. He continues his work as a life long designer with Jayworks, operating since 2009. You can view some of his most recent design work in his portfolio here.

Mr. Turner graduated in 2003 from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic & Online Design, and received his K-12 Art Education licensure from University of Northern Colorado in 2014.  Originally from New Jersey, he now calls Longmont home with his wife, two daughters, and two rescue pups of dubious origins.
